The Power Deal Challenge is one of the most generous promotions in the September lineup, and it is also the one with a single rule that catches people out more than any other. Here is the maths, worked through properly, so there is no guessing at the end of the month.
The Rule, Stated Plainly
Sell ten of the same Power Deal item and you receive one free, plus one entry into the Lucky Draw. Not ten items from the list in any combination. Ten of one item. Sell five Lunch Boxes and five bottles of Sea Miracle and the honest answer is that neither sale counts toward a ticket, even though ten units genuinely left your hands.

The Six Items on the List
Six products qualify this month: the Lunch Box 1.5Lt, the Bowl With Lid, 10 litre, the Round Divided Lunchers, the 3pc Bowl Set, Sea Miracle, and the Herbal Blend Concentrate. Each one is tracked separately. Selling ten Lunch Boxes qualifies. Selling ten Bowls With Lid qualifies. They do not combine with each other toward the same ticket.
Why the Rule Exists
It can read as strict, and there is a reason behind it rather than an arbitrary line. The free product a seller receives matches the item sold, one Lunch Box free for ten Lunch Boxes sold, one Sea Miracle free for ten Sea Miracles sold. If the rule allowed mixed combinations, the company would need to decide which single item to give free from an unpredictable mix, and that decision would end up inconsistent from one Business Builder to the next. One product, ten units, one matching item back. It is a simple rule because the maths behind it has to stay simple too.
Worked Through With Real Numbers
Ten Lunch Boxes bought at R79 and sold at R99 already earns R200 in profit on the ten sales alone. The free eleventh Lunch Box, valued at R99, sits on top of that as pure additional value, since it cost nothing further to earn. The same maths applies at the higher end: ten bottles of Herbal Blend Concentrate at R200 profit each already totals R2 000 before the free bottle, valued at R399, is added on top.
Where This Fits With the Lucky Draw
Qualifying for the free product and qualifying for a Lucky Draw ticket happen at the same moment, from the same ten units. There is no extra step required beyond invoicing the sale properly through MyShop as it happens, which is the same habit that decides whether any promotion this month is counted correctly.
The One Thing to Check Before the Month Closes
If ten units of one item have been sold this month, check that all ten are reflected in MyShop under that same product line before the thirtieth. A sale made in person and only written up later is easy to lose track of, and the Lucky Draw ticket depends entirely on what MyShop shows, not on what actually happened in a kitchen or at a school gate.
What Happens If You Are Close but Not Quite There
Nine units sold of the same item by the last week of the month is a genuinely different situation to five, and it is worth treating it that way. Going back to the two or three customers already reached this month with a direct, honest message, one more of the same item completes the ticket, tends to work far better than a generic post hoping the tenth sale appears on its own. Most people are happy to help someone reach a specific, stated goal when it is asked for plainly.
Choosing Which Item to Push Toward Ten
For a Business Builder deciding which of the six items to focus on, the honest answer is whichever one already has the most momentum this month, rather than whichever carries the highest individual profit. Ten of a slower moving high value item is harder to reach in the time remaining than ten of something already selling steadily, and a completed ticket on the easier item is worth more than an unfinished attempt at the harder one.
